बेटियों के लिए शादी की न्यूनतम उम्र 21 होगी जल्द बनेगा कानून
नेशनल न्यूज कॉज, नई दिल्ली, केंद्र सरकार बेटियों की शादी की उम्र 18 से बढ़ाकर 21 साल करने की तैयारी है. सूत्रों के मुताबिक, प्रस्ताव को कैबिनेट ने मंजूरी दे दी है. इसके लिए सरकार मौजूदा कानून में बदलाव करेगी अभी शादी के लिए लडकी की उम्र 18 और लडकी की 21 होनी चाहिए.
इस बार 15 अगस्त के लाल किले से किये गये अपने संबोधन में प्रधानमन्त्री ने इसका उल्लेख भी किया था. उन्होंने कहा था की महिलाओं को कुपोषण से बचाने के लिए जरूरी है शादी ठीक समय पर ही हो.

जया जेटली की अध्यक्षता में बनी टास्क फ़ोर्स ने सरकार से इसकी सिफारिश भी की थी. इस टास्क फ़ोर्स का गठन जून 2020 में किया गया था और दिसम्बर 2020 में ही इस फ़ोर्स ने अपनी रिपोर्ट भी सरकार को सौंप दी थी. टास्क फ़ोर्स ने कहा था पहले बच्चे के जन्म के समय लडकियों की उम्र 21 साल से कम नहीं होनी चाहिए.
देर में विवाह होने से परिवारों, महिलाओं, बच्चों और समाज के आर्थिक, सामाजिक और स्वास्थ्य पर सकारात्मक प्रभाव पड़ता है. इसे कानूनी जामा पहनाने के लिए सरकार को हिन्दू मैरिज एक्ट, स्पेशल मैरिज एक्ट और बाल विवाह निषेध कानूनों में संशोधन करना होगा.
अभी ये स्पष्ट नहीं है की लडकों की शादी की न्यूनतम उम्र में भी कोई बदलाव किया जाएगा या नहीं. 1978 में कानून बना कर लडकों के लिए शादी की उम्र 21 और लडकियों के लिए 18 कर दी गयी थी. चार दशकों बाद फिर इस उम्र को बढाने के लिए कानून में संशोधनों की तैयारी की जा रही है.
